The Rules

The rules for my weight loss goal are fairly simple and achievable, but at the same time require a great deal of discipline to follow.

  1. Exercise for at least 30 minutes 5 to 6 times a week
  2. Stick to the eating plan strictly

Exercise for me at the moment is a combination of running and swimming. While swimming is still a bit of a struggle for me as I’m not really “swim-fit”, running has always been enjoyable to me.

The eating plan involves eating all my starchy carbs for breakfast, then eating only protein and “free” foods for the rest of the day. Free foods are mostly vegetables such as lettuce, carrots and tomatoes. There is also the option for a “cheat meal” once a week, usually on a Friday when I can eat whatever I want.

As I fancy myself as something of a chef, I plan to post a few interesting recipes for both normal and cheat meals throughout the blog.
